As Director, Regulatory at Capital Power, Matthew Davis represents Capital Power’s engagement with regulatory and policy agencies in Alberta and across western Canada. With over 15 years of experience, Matthew has developed forecasting models and strategic analytics for Alberta’s wholesale electricity market, and participated in numerous policy and regulatory engagements including: the AESO’s capacity market consultation, transmission developments and tariff design, provincial off-coal negotiations, and carbon, renewable and net-zero policies. Mr. Davis holds both a MSc and BSc in Statistics from the University of Calgary, and a PGDip (Honors) from the University of Otago.  

Lisa Mueller is educated as a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of technical and business development experience. Ms. Mueller began her career in the space sciences on a NASA project, then moved into the commercial arena by founding and growing her own manufacturing company. Most recently, she served as Senior Business Development Manager of Infrastructure at Shell Canada and President & CEO at Epoch Energy Development. Lisa joined Razor Energy in 2017 as Vice President New Ventures. As the global energy complex began its transition to low-carbon, a new subsidiary of Razor Energy was formed, FutEra Power. As President and CEO of FutEra Power, Lisa aims to leverage Alberta’s current energy assets to develop a cleaner energy tomorrow, beginning with Canada’s first co-produced geothermal power project.

Dustin Owens is Managing Director of Government and Regulatory Policy at Heartland Generation, responsible for the company’s carbon, environmental and regulatory strategies. He is currently serving as Chair of the Independent Power Producers Society of Alberta (IPPSA) Board of Directors.  Dustin also serves on the board of the Battle River Watershed Alliance. Prior to joining Heartland Generation, Dustin held several leadership roles within Alberta Energy including director of markets policy.
